We were right on target with "aiming to feed the homebound" at our 6th Annual Sporting Clay Shoot!

The 2011 Sporting Clay Shoot, sponsored by Hinson Bit Co., was held on June 4, 2011 at the San Angelo Claybird Association.
In addition to 2 rotations of 100 targets and a challenging shooting game, we also raffled off an amazing gun - the Beretta A400 Xplor 12 gauge - sponsored in part by the Outdoorsman. This year's winner was Jaton Treadway of A-B Distributing. The gun is valued at $1,725 and we are so happy for Jaton! Next time, the gun could be yours! Be sure to get plenty of raffle tickets before next year's shoot.
We had close to 190 shooter participate and raised $40,000 for the mission and work at Meals For The Elderly. Not a golf cart was to be had in the 11 am rotation, and our auction items went so fast that one of our shooter give-away winners gave away his gift certificate to Field & Stream to auction off. Tim Archuletta joined the ranks of our fantastic auction donors to raise $950 dollars from his $750 gift certificate. What a sign of the generous spirit of our shooters this year!
Auction donations bring both additional funds for our organization AND recognition for businesses looking to get their name on the lips of some of San Angelo's finest shooting enthusiasts. This year we had 30 items, many donated by area businesses AND individuals. Consider donating YOUR auction item for next year's shoot. Contact Becca at Meals For The Elderly to lock in your item for next June.
