Paula takes pride in her role as pet food coordinator at Meals For The Elderly. She organizes the program to ensure that close to 120 clients receive pet food every other week for their cats or dogs. She sees how important these companions are to lonely seniors and is happy to help. Before the pet food program began, many seniors were sharing their meals with their nearest and dearest four-legged friends. Paula is proud that thanks to our pet program, we are able to ensure both seniors and their pets can enjoy proper nutrition.
In addition to her role of running the pet food program, she also is an active member of the Client Services Department where she interacts with clients on a daily basis. Paula has learned from her time working at Meals For The Elderly that people really need contact with other people to know someone cares. Paula is continually impressed by the services Meals For The Elderly is able to provide for seniors around Tom Green County. She says, “everybody should work for a nonprofit to figure out just how much they have.”
When Paula has free time, she enjoys spending it with her two grandsons, Bradley and Riley who live close by in Mertzon; she also enjoys quilting, sewing and being crafty whenever possible!
