Ashley Perales

Ashley believes that giving back is what keeps her hometown of San Angelo full of love and community spirit. “Kindness and giving is what makes our town supportive and tight-knit,” she says. “Getting to know community members makes it more meaningful when you see a familiar, friendly face everywhere you go.”

Being named a 2025 Community Champion is an honor she deeply cherishes. “I love my hometown and being able to give back in different ways. Seeing new ways to help the community is exciting!”

Ashley spreads joy through her art, volunteering at church and VBS, teaching kids art classes, supporting small businesses, and painting vibrant murals and sheep statues around town. “I believe my purpose in San Angelo is to make it a more colorful and joyful place,” she shares.

A favorite verse guides her daily: Jeremiah 29:11. “Every new door that opens is a gift from God, whether it’s finances, jobs, or friendships. He blesses me abundantly, and I’m so grateful!”

Fun fact: Ashley is a proud Angelo State University alumna.
