For Joanna, giving back to her community is personal. “San Angelo is more than just the place I live, it’s home. The people here have shaped who I am, supported my business, and embraced my family,” she says. “When we take care of each other, we create a stronger, more connected community where everyone can thrive.”
Being named a 2025 Community Champion is both an honor and a motivation. “It’s a reminder that even small acts of kindness can have a big impact, and it inspires me to keep finding ways to serve, connect, and lift up those around me,” Joanna shares.
Her involvement in the community is wide-ranging. She serves on the board of the San Angelo Hispanic Heritage Museum and is active on the steering committee for Young Professionals of San Angelo. She also volunteers wherever she can—whether it’s helping in her church nursery or participating in community advocacy teams.
