Adam Scott

Assistant Chief - San Angelo Police Department

Adam Scott has spent much of his life serving the community he proudly calls home. As Assistant Chief with the San Angelo Police Department, Adam has dedicated more than two decades to protecting and supporting the people of San Angelo.

Adam moved to San Angelo when he was eight years old and later chose to raise his own family here. Over the years, he and his wife have worked to pass along the value of community service to their three daughters. When the girls were growing up, the family delivered meals with Meals For The Elderly, an experience that helped show them how important it is to give back. For Adam, those moments were not only meaningful for the seniors receiving meals, but also a reminder that service changes the hearts of those who give just as much as those who receive.

Being named a Meals For The Elderly Community Champion is something Adam considers a privilege, even though recognition is not something he seeks. For him, the real reward comes from knowing he has played a small part in caring for the community and the people who live here.

Adam’s commitment to service extends well beyond his role in law enforcement. His wife currently serves as president of the San Angelo Symphony Guild, and Adam enjoys supporting her work while volunteering alongside her whenever possible. He has also given his time to organizations such as the Girl Scouts of America and Keep San Angelo Beautiful.

A quote that reflects Adam’s outlook on service comes from H. Jackson Brown Jr.:
“Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.”

Adam is also a proud United States Navy veteran, a husband of 28 years, and the father of three daughters who have grown up learning the value of community service.

As part of the Meals For The Elderly Community Champions program, Adam will participate in a ride along with one of our volunteer delivery routes during March for Meals. This experience allows champions to see firsthand the impact of a daily meal delivery and the meaningful connections volunteers build with the seniors they serve.

Meals For The Elderly is grateful for Adam’s decades of service and for his willingness to serve as an ambassador for our mission of neighbors helping neighbors.
