Harry Thomas

City Council SMD 3 - City of San Angelo

Harry Thomas has spent many years serving the people of San Angelo in a variety of ways, always guided by a simple belief that if you have the ability to help someone, you should.

As a City Councilman for the City of San Angelo, Harry continues a long tradition of community involvement and civic leadership. His service has never been limited to one role. Over the years, he has supported and volunteered with numerous organizations that work to strengthen the community and care for those in need.

Harry has been involved with the United Way, the Boys and Girls Club, Fort Concho, Rust Street Ministries, the Elks Lodge, the Lions Club, and several other local organizations. Through these efforts, he has consistently looked for ways to lend a hand and help improve the lives of others.

For Harry, giving back is simply about helping those who may need a little extra support along the way. He believes communities grow stronger when neighbors look out for one another and when people step forward to serve.

Being named a Meals For The Elderly Community Champion is something Harry accepts with humility. He recognizes that many people in San Angelo give their time and energy to help others and says he appreciates being included among those who serve their community.

A guiding principle that reflects Harry’s outlook on service is simple and direct: if you have the capacity, share with those in need.

As part of the Meals For The Elderly Community Champions program, Harry will participate in a ride along with one of our volunteer delivery routes during March for Meals. This experience allows champions to see firsthand the impact of a daily meal delivery and the meaningful connections volunteers build with the seniors they serve.

Meals For The Elderly is grateful for Harry’s continued leadership and service to the people of San Angelo and for his willingness to serve as an ambassador for our mission of neighbors helping neighbors.
