Stacy Wright

Battalion Chief - San Angelo Fire Department

Stacy Wright has dedicated his life to serving others. As a Battalion Chief with the San Angelo Fire Department, he has spent more than 33 years protecting and caring for the people of our community.

For Stacy, service is rooted in a simple belief. A community is like a family, and no one person can do it alone. Strong communities are built when people step up to help each other during times of need, in moments of crisis, or even through small reminders that someone is there when it matters most.

Being named a Meals For The Elderly Community Champion is an honor for Stacy, but even more importantly, he hopes it encourages others to look for ways they can serve and support their own community.

Throughout his career with the San Angelo Fire Department, Stacy has lived out the calling of public service. Now, at this stage in life, he feels a strong desire to continue giving back in new ways beyond his role in the fire service. As a member of Celebration Church, he has seen firsthand the many ways people can come together to care for others, and he looks forward to becoming even more involved in helping those around him.

A scripture that inspires Stacy’s commitment to service comes from Matthew 20:28:
“Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

As part of the Meals For The Elderly Community Champions program, Stacy will participate in a ride along with one of our volunteer delivery routes during March for Meals. This experience gives champions the opportunity to see firsthand the impact of a daily meal delivery and the meaningful connections our volunteers build with the seniors they serve.

Meals For The Elderly is grateful for Stacy’s decades of public service and for his willingness to serve as an ambassador for our mission of neighbors helping neighbors.
