2026 Community Champion: Berkeley Puckitt

Berkeley Puckitt believes communities grow stronger when people invest their time, talents, and leadership in the place they call home. As Director of Marketing for City National Bank, Berkeley is passionate about supporting organizations and initiatives that help families, strengthen connections, and enrich life across the Concho Valley.

For Berkeley, giving back is deeply rooted in the belief that we are called to serve the communities where we live, work, and raise our families. She sees community involvement as a way to help build a stronger future, not only for today but for the generations that follow.

Service has been a guiding priority throughout Berkeley’s life. She has held leadership and volunteer roles with numerous organizations including the American Heart Association Circle of Red, the Junior League of San Angelo, Wall Elementary PTO, and the San Angelo Performing Arts Center. She also serves through First Presbyterian Church where she has been involved in leadership, worship, and committee work.

Her dedication to service has included serving as past chairman and current member of Circle of Red, past president and presidential advisor of the Junior League of San Angelo, leadership roles with Wall Elementary PTO, and ongoing leadership within First Presbyterian Church. She has also participated in Leadership San Angelo and the Lead Well Conference and currently serves as the philanthropic advisor for Kappa Alpha Theta at Texas Tech University.

Being named a Meals For The Elderly Community Champion holds special meaning for Berkeley because of her personal connection to the mission. When her grandfather, Lanny Madden, lived in Amarillo, he relied on Meals on Wheels. While her family could not always be there, knowing he received a hot meal and a friendly visit brought comfort and peace of mind. That experience helped shape Berkeley’s passion for supporting programs that provide nourishment, dignity, and connection to seniors.

Today, she continues that legacy by volunteering with Meals For The Elderly in San Angelo and by including her children in that service, helping them learn the importance of caring for others and giving back to their community.

A scripture that guides Berkeley’s approach to service comes from Micah 6:8:
“Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.”

As part of the Meals For The Elderly Community Champions program, Berkeley will participate in a ride along with one of our volunteer delivery routes during March for Meals. This experience allows champions to see firsthand the impact of a daily meal delivery and the meaningful connections volunteers build with the seniors they serve.

Meals For The Elderly is grateful for Berkeley’s leadership, her heart for service, and her willingness to serve as an ambassador for our mission of neighbors helping neighbors
